Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Scope of this policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses, training modules and related professional resources offered through the spotzenivo website. These resources focus on studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound techniques, and workflow optimisation for television news and live productions. The policy covers both one-time purchases and subscription-based access to course materials. It does not extend to third-party services or physical goods unless explicitly stated at the point of sale.
Prices, currencies, taxes and additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate is included where applicable and shown separately on the checkout page. Additional charges such as currency conversion fees imposed by your payment provider or bank may apply and are your responsibility. spotzenivo reserves the right to adjust prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
Accepted payment methods, authorisation and security
We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfers. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant gateways. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. We do not store full card details on our servers. By submitting payment information you confirm that you are authorised to use the chosen method.
Order confirmation and contract formation
Once you complete the checkout process you will receive an order confirmation email containing details of the purchased course. A binding contract is formed when we send this confirmation. Access to digital content is granted immediately upon successful payment, subject to the cancellation rules set out below.
Cancellation rights and cooling-off periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being formed. Because digital content is supplied immediately, you must expressly consent to waive this right before access is granted. If you have not yet accessed any materials you may still cancel within the 14-day period by contacting us.
Refund eligibility, exclusions and non-refundable items
Refunds are available only where required by law or where a course is materially defective and cannot be remedied. Once you have started streaming or downloading course content, or completed more than a negligible portion of a module, refunds will not be provided except in cases of proven technical failure on our part. Promotional or discounted bundles are non-refundable once accessed.
Step-by-step procedure to request a refund
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order number, full name, and a clear explanation of the reason. Include any relevant screenshots or error messages. Requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase for technical issues or within the statutory cooling-off period where applicable.
Inspection, approval, rejection and notification
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within five working days. Our team will review the claim, which may involve testing the reported issue. You will be notified of the decision by email within 14 days. If approved, a refund will be processed; if rejected, reasons will be provided together with any available alternatives such as course replacement.
Refund method, processing time and receipt of funds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days, although bank transfer refunds may require additional verification. You will receive confirmation once the refund has been issued. Actual receipt of funds may take up to 14 additional days depending on your bank or card issuer.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions and promotional offers
Digital courses are non-returnable once downloaded or streamed. Subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel future renewals at any time via your account dashboard, but no partial refunds are given for unused portions of a billing cycle. Promotional codes or free trial periods do not qualify for cash refunds.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks and suspected fraud
If a payment fails you will be notified and given the opportunity to retry. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded promptly upon verification. Chargebacks or disputes initiated without first contacting us may result in suspension of access. We reserve the right to investigate suspected fraudulent activity and to share information with relevant authorities in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or any other applicable UK legislation. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
